I got this because I moved into a new apartment that already had a bracket on the wall for a flatscreen TV with a label that said, "No greater than 37 inches". So I looked for 37-inch models online and compared, and got this one because it was at a reasonable price and had the extra feature of the iPod/iPhone dock. Sometimes I'm driving home from work listening to podcasts and want to plug the iPhone in somewhere at the house to finish listening to it.
I use it mostly with an Apple TV via HDMI (another reason I got a 720p instead of a 1080p) and it looks great. I purchased a Sharp Sound Bar (HTSB500) separately and they work nicely together, but there's one little bug. I linked them with an optical cable (the only all-audio-out option in the TV) and every time the audio goes totally silent, like when I pause the Apple TV, or even when it goes from one song to another, the sound bar stops working for up to 6 seconds, which is rather annoying. I'm guessing the soundbar "turns itself off" when it detects no signal the awakes after hearing it, but the delay can be very annoying. It works fine as long as the audio stream is not interrupted though.
Not sure what else to say about the TV, other than it works great for me.
